God's Choice - Our Choice

Last week Pastor Andy talked about the Life and Freedom we have in Christ. Freedom to live a real and faithful life. This sunday we will look into where Paul goes next in Romans, chapter 9. There he tackles hard questions that stem from a real and painful realization, “I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart” (Romans 9:2). This is not a dramatic exaggeration, or hyperbole. It’s real. His pain stems from the fact that many of his own people, his fellow Israelites—have rejected the Messiah. What do we do when we face the hard questions and deep pains that come to those who follow Christ? How can God’s love be so irresistible, and yet so many of his own people reject it? Has God’s promise failed? (Romans 9:6). Has God been unjust? (Romans 9:14). Why has He made things this way? (Romans 9:20). Join us this Sunday as we tackle these honest questions and find a way forward in the way of Christ.
