Anyone can claim to be the Son of God, as Jesus did, however if Jesus really returned from the dead, then we have conclusive confirmation of his identity: that he is the Son of God.
For Christians, EVERYTHING hinges on the Resurrection of Jesus. Easter, in many ways, is the Superbowl of Sundays for followers of Jesus!
