#2 - Recalibrating our Vision & Mission

This weekend, pastor Andy will unveil the new phrasing of our mission statement: Pursuing God radically, Loving others courageously. When you think about the mission of Adventure, it’s the “How” we accomplish our vision. (For example: How we are “helping people live the ONE Adventure” is by pursuing God radically; loving others courageously.)

In Matthew 22, Jesus was confronted with a question relating to the greatest command. Jesus quoted the famous Shema in the Torah when he replied: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40 [NIV]
