Building Relationships: Day #14
At Adventure, you may hear the phrase “doing life together” a great deal. This is a fundamental part of our mission and a core value. We are committed to forming lasting transformational relationships. If the gospel isn’t relational, it’s not the Gospel.
And yet, people are hard to love. It’s a fact we all know and see. Woven into the tapestry of our culture are the personas on display in movies like Wolf of Wall Street, James Bond, and many others, where we idolize extreme individualists. Many in our culture practice ambition in such a way as to overlook a brother or sister in Christ. We often view ourselves as above others; this should not be. Biblical relationships take work, grace, genuine attention, and time. What interests do you put before others?
Father, Help us! We want to build the relationships we see in scripture that are built on humility. We lift up our congregation so that our relationships demonstrate the commitment in Christ’s love, to show mercy while clinging to the truth. In Christ we pray, Amen.
